PIPER CREEK
RANCH
Piper Creek Ranch (PCR) was established in 1992 as a cattle operation. We
are located midway between Austin and Houston, in Colorado County, just
outside of the small town of New Ulm.

We, at the encouragement of long time friend Chuck Owen, who has been
breeding and raising Appaloosas for 30 years, purchased our first horse in
August of 2002. Our first horse, Apache Playgirl T, was purchased from the Till
Ranch in South Dakota. We saw in the horses they had; a strong, solid well
tempered breed. The bloodline, which includes Prince Plaudit and Goer, is a
foundation pedigree line. Subsequent mares and stud purchased have been of
the same mold, great bloodlines, flashy looks and good movers.

The goal of PCR breeding operation is to produce good looking colorful horses
able to be shown at halter, performance and just good ole cow horses. We also
try to maintain the Foundation Pedigree Designate in our foals. We select and
breed to outside studs to enhance our breeding program and bloodlines. We
strive to produce a good quality and versatile Appaloosa.

Please visit our mare and stallion page to learn more about the bloodlines we
offer.
